TRIPTONE PRODUCTIONS is a St. Louis-based production company of radio, television, and film.

Just as a curator of a museum would present an exhibition, TRIPTONE PRODUCTIONS explores and celebrates the historical influences of art, culture, and history.

TRIPTONE was created in 2003 by Emmy-Award winning producer, Christian Cudnik. CB radio, Chuck Thompson, Vince Bagli,  Paul Harvey  and Jon Miller were early influences. Christian began his broadcasting career at WIYY-98 Rock in his home town of Baltimore. In 1998, he joined heritage rock station WMMR in Philadelphia.   While at WMMR, Christian was mentored by legendary broadcasters Pierre Robert, Earle Bailey and Joe Bonadonna and he considers Kevin Gunn and Steve Lushbaugh major production influences.  Christian obtained the number-one-ranked radio program while in Philadelphia, and was nominated for two Philadelphia AIR Awards including, “Best Field Reporting” and “Best Evening Program-Host.”

Christian began writing, producing, and directing for radio, television, and film in 2003. He created the TRIPTONE radio show, a series of one hour programs that creates an understanding of the influence and the essential nature of music and its broad cultural applications. In 2008, he received an Emmy Award and three Telly Awards for “Best Historical Documentary” for the Higher Education Channel's slave film, “Seeking Freedom”. Other documentaries include “Enduring Tradition: Ballet in the Heartland,"; Telly-Award winner “Collective Improvisation: The Story of Jazz in Saint Louis; and the Native American documentary “Uncovering Ancient Saint Louis,” that proclaims Saint Louis is the heart of ancient North America. UASL premiered at the Saint Louis History Museum in September 2009 and has aired on PBS.

Christian's biographical profiles and interviews are regularly featured on the Emmy Award- winning program “State of the Arts”.

Christian has interviewed a veriety of artists including Ozzy Osbourne, REM, Hamiet Bluiett, David Lee Roth, Roger Waters, and Graham Nash. He has been the Saturday morning voice of St. Louis Public Radio since 2003 and is a contributor to the The Saint Louis Beacon.  In 2005, Christian’s photography received national exposure in Pointe Magazine and Dance Magazine.

"Using the past in an effort to illuminate the present. This is Triptone."
